Nora Bernitz Pedersen is an abstract and figurative artist splitting her creative time between Oslo, Budapest, and northern Italy. Art has been a lifelong resource, evolving from a foundation in drawing, sketching, and portraiture into intuitive oil abstracts, expressive landscapes, and loose figurative works. Her current practice is an exploration of her surroundings, memory, as well as the complex and constant impressions of life, her paintings capture the subtle, authentic details that often pass by unremarked. 

Much of her work is born from an impulsive, instinctive response to the landscapes, whether that be her home in the quiet fields of Enebakk, Norway or the hazy, rolling hills of Piedmont, Italy where she discovered slowness and soul. Through rich earthy tones and fluid movement, Bernitz translates her personal geography into atmospheric works that speak on travel, transition, and belonging.
